As founder of Grassroots Rugby, a non-profit dedicated to making rugby accessible and empowering for all, Clay has inspired hundreds of young athletes to find confidence, leadership, and belonging through the game.

His coaching career includes work with the Canada Senior Women’s National Team, Canada U20 Men’s Team, Rugby Canada U20 Women’s Team, Thunder Rugby, Shawnigan Lake School, and more.

Clay holds multiple certifications — including IRANZ Advanced Coaching (New Zealand Rugby), NCCP Levels 1 & 2, and World Rugby Strength & Conditioning — and continues to lead with a player-first, values-driven approach.
